Torch 180 Retail Training - Coming to you!

In February, 2024, we had an opportunity to explore the possibility of acquiring a new space where we could offer some additional training for individuals who might not be interested in working in the food service industry! We have talked and prayed and explored the options, and things came together in the last few months - and here we are!

This building will be our new home for our retail training. Our dream is to have a small shop - general merchandise AND Torch 180 student-made merchandise AND some of our delicious non-perishable baked goods from the cafe! We will also have space for local small business partners to rent and sell their products! We already have some pretty cool partnerships in the works!

We will still have the cafe! This space is an additional location - hopefully to grow and become a vibrant part of the Torch 180 Village!

Timeline

Dec. 06, 2024 our current needs are:

prayers for our architect to be able to meet our pretty strict timeline.
Funds to be raised and borrowed and we complete the renovations and add the things we need to begin our training.

January 03, 2025

We have a project manager, Chris Bonk, who is working hard to help us find all the contractors and help we need at the lowest possible cost. So grateful for Chris!
We have a new architect who is able to work within our tight timeline and budget!
The drawings should be ready to go to the building department for approval very soon!
The new roof work will be done within the next 30 days! That part of this project is going to cost roughly $30,000!
We are looking at potentially $250,000 for all the renovations - for a building that will change LIVES forever AND bring vibrancy to downtown Fowlerville. What a great experience for all the Torch 180 students!
